Ezine Advertising A Few Tips For Doing It Right
Ezine advertising is clearly one of my favorite methods for driving traffic to my websites and I have been using it for years in the other niches that I am currently running businesses in. I have a always gotten pretty good results from top sponsor ads, and the up front investment has pretty much always given strong returns on dollars spent and it is rare that I don’t come out ahead quite a bit.
Now what is ezine advertising exactly. Ezines are a form of newsletter or online electronic magazine thus the name ezine. They are always fairly niche oriented and many have pretty large subscriber bases. Typically the subscribers that have signed up will receive notifications of fresh content. The key to success with ezine lists is finding lists that that are fairly large and have a pretty responsive lists.
Now its is pretty easy to find out this information. If you do a search there are ezine directories out there some paid and some free and I have pretty much found that I have gotten better results from paid ezines and I am pretty certain that it’s because those who have paid for membership are into their particular niche or hobby or subject. You can also be pretty assured that it is going to be highly targeted traffic. You can also imagine how the freebies get hammered by marketers. A few simple tips to help you improve your ezine advertising. These will help you find a good bit of information for a particular niche area.
1.) If your going to make ezine advertising a regular part of your marketing efforts, it won’t hurt you to join an ezine of interests and get an idea of how many ads are being placed. You don’t want a lot of competition.
2.) Talk to the owner of the ezine. Dig for information that pertains to his or her list and find out just how many subscribers are on the list, and ask he or she how responsive their list is and how others are doing. Often times they will know based on how many times someone advertises with them. He/she probably has people who repeat ads with their ezine and if so that is a pretty good indicator!
3.) Your goal here should be to get their name and email address by offering a freebie to them. Be sure whtever it is you are offering is of high quality and they prospect stands to gain from it. To often I see people offering something just for the sake of offering. Bad Idea! Always deliver value and they will pass your name and business on, as a good name to associated with.
Ezine Advertising is very powerful when done right!
