Often times people start to quickly with adding their sig file to a forum posts. Get out there and offer good answers and helpful information and build trust first, and the rest will come.

Search engine marketing is another way to boost traffic, and the best way to do this is to write keyword optimized articles, and submit them to a few directories. This form of traffic is pretty quick. And if the article is properly optimized and the content is relevant. it can end up on the first page of the search engines for a given keyword phrase and deliver tons of free traffic.
