46,094. That’s how many times I’ve been asked “Where can I find hot product ideas to write about in my next eBook?” Really. I’ve been keeping count.
) OK, so it’s probably not quite that many times, but you get the idea.
I get asked that question a LOT.
And so, I’ve decided to share my favorite “idea hangouts”. That’s right … “idea hangouts.” It’s been my experience that there are specific places where hot product ideas are always gathered. I call them “idea hangouts.”
*** Idea Hangout #1 ***
One of the “idea hangouts” that I’ve identified is Amazon.com. Amazon.com is the web’s largest bookstore. It’s also a community center for new product ideas. I use it as one of my top brainstorming resources. Again and again I visit this site to come up with topics to write about. What makes Amazon.com so useful as a research tool for getting new ideas is their searchable database of books. There are thousands of great ideas lurking in there if you just know how to use it.
And that’s what I’m here for.
)
I’m going to show you how to find hot product ideas with Amazon.com anytime you want. It’s really a matter of three simple steps …
STEP 01 : >>> Decide Upon A Broad Category. When brainstorming ideas, you must begin with a broad category to work with. Some examples might be: weight loss, marketing, dating, travel, baseball.

Over the years of being online people have come up with some good ways and different ways to go about creating your own info product and or ebook. All-be-it I am a huge fan of doing everything myself, you simply may not be that kind of person and I wanted to bring some of the other ways people go about it.
Now, if you have been following me for that past few days, you have probably come to the conclusion that this can be an extremely powerful way to make a living online. But there are definitely other ways to go about this. Aside from doing everything yourself.
Probably one of the most popular ways to go about it, is to do your research and locate private label rights products that you can put your name on. Now there are couple ways of going about doing this. First, once you have located what it is that fits the your market. You can simply purchase it and sell it as is and they typically will come all put together as PDF format for easy download and more often than not they also come with ebook cover graphics as well.
However when using this method of ebook creation I highly recommend you go a step further and you truly make it uniquely your own. If it were myself going this route, I would sit and take the necessary time it takes to essentially re-write the entire ebook into my own words and I would also add a chapter or 2 to the ebook. I would also probably ditch the the ebook cover in favor of creating my own, so it again becomes more uniquely my own. This way simply insures you will be different than the others who have purchased the same resell rights. Read the rest of this entry

Today I want to delve a bit further into writing your own information products and ebooks. In the previous post I spoke of getting involved and or creating a business online around something you enjoy doing or have a passion for. Again the biggest reason I speak in these terms is for one reason more than any other. Firstly you will have some built in knowledge about the subject matter, and in turn it will make much easier for you to write about it. It will also be something you will look forward to doing.
Now taking that a step further about want to discuss it terms of really focus on the niche and picking the right segment to focus on. As with just about any niche there 2 ways to look at it and firstly is the broad niche aspect of niche marketing. I like to use fly fishing as an example because it something I do and know a lot about. So, for starters Fly Fishing is the broad niche and within that broad niche there are different niches that exist o r sub niches.
Call him what you want sub-niches niches with niches, which ever you look at it means the same. As an example inside the niche of Fly fishing you have dry fly fishing, you have streamer fishing and you fly fishing goods and products and you have fly fishing travel and resorts, you have also fly tying and the materials that go along with it. I think your beginning to get the picture here. Read the rest of this entry

Are you one of those folks who has been wondering if writing and creating your own information products is worth the time and effort that everyone speaks of ? Are you wondering if what some say has actually happened, and the market place is flooded and saturated?
Well I am here to tell that information marketing and writing ebooks and short reports is alive and well. I personally don’t see it ever becoming what others would call saturated. Firstly the vast majority of those who click the on button to their computer are seeking information and they are more than willing to pay for it if it helps them.
This was not always the case. Back in the day, when ebooks were taking a foot hold and there was actually an industry that could be called information marketing, people fully expected everything they searched for online to be free. I mean you can’t blame them, it was then and still is the information highway and they were conditioned to free. Read the rest of this entry

You would have thought that since I favor the information marketing business.that I would have already written a ton about this form of business model and to be honest I don’t know why I haven’t spent more time writing post about it . They say the best way to making money on the Internet, is to create your own product or ebook. Wow! That’s a simple statement, but do you know what is involved. It isn’t as difficult as one might think, and it really is more about choosing the right niche and sub niche that has a hungry ready to buy market and finding out what that market is looking for.
Brainstorming: If you know what you want to create, your already on your way. But, if you’re not sure what information you have stored in your years of living – well, it can be difficult. I’ve found the best way to brainstorm is to write your ideas, experiences and knowledge down on a piece of paper – then do research to determine what people are looking for on the net.
Research: To determine if your product, idea, or info-knowledge will fly you must do research. Go to Wordtracker or Overture and see how many times people in the month were looking for what you want to write about. This will give you an idea if it is a viable product. Also do a straight search in Google and Yahoo for your keywords, and see what turns up. Investigate some of the sites, you may be surprised that you have a completely slant on the information you want to present in an E-book – which is a good thing. Read the rest of this entry
