This is similar to what I been talking about over the months regarding broad generic niches versus drilling down inside that broad Niche and finding the true gold nuggets in there that exists. Now Marlon takes that a step and talks about find what the market is hungry for. How to identify what a particular target audience it need of filling that need. if you follow this line of thinking it almost impossible not to win every time.
How To Find Demand!
I want to talk today about the ONE step that most people get stuck at and never get beyond: How to FIND DEMAND.
Everything starts with finding out what people want. That’s like Amazing Formula 101.
The questions is HOW? And what about all the competition? And how do you have a quality product to sell?
Those are questions I’ve answered at length over time in my Milcer’s newsletters. I’m going to use the word product here to also mean service. You can use this formula to create either a product or service.

I can’t talk about this subject to much. This is something 99.9 percent of all would be online entrepreneurs fall into in the beginning and it is a destroyer of dreams and creates distrust and really isn’t good for anyone. I don’t know what it is about it but for some reason creating a business online is viewed by many as some kind of magical existence online.
Building a home based business online is just like any other business and they take time to build and you need a plan. If this stinking thinking can be caught early on then you can be spared the agony.
On with the Main article:
I don’t want you to be an easy “Mark” that others can take advantage of. I want you to be educated and sophisticated in what you’re doing. If you avoid the mistakes I’m about to give you, you’ll avoid a lot of the traps and pitfalls that others fall into.
Most of these wrong paths involve the following mistakes:

Hello, Marlon here.
If you’ve never used Yahoo Groups before, it’s basically a free service that allows you to setup a group (or join an existing group) where everyone can send system-wide emails to everyone else. A group can consist of virtually anyone. There are groups for mothers and for pilots. There are also private groups for family members, close friends, and alumni of a particular university. In our application today, I’m going to suggest that you join a group, rather than create one. I’m also going to suggest that you be careful in how you select your groups…
For starters, it’s important to understand why you’re using Yahoo Groups, and what it could potentially offer you as an affiliate marketer. If you plan to join spam groups, where every member sends out a slew of advertisements to all other members, you may be better off ignoring Yahoo Groups and trying something different altogether. You aren’t likely to make a lot of money sending out repeated advertisements to people who want to advertise – not buy.
Now, if you are patient and willing to put in a little work, then you can use Yahoo Groups to your advantage. However, rather than seeing it as a pulpit for spam, see it as a means of seeking out and communicating with potential customers. Think about it as you might think about participating in forum discussions – the more you do it and the more you contribute, the more people will respect you and consider purchasing what you offer. I need to first thank all of you who are on my list for hangin in there with me while I addressed a few things that were your request and I think that your suggestions were justified and I am usually happy to do what is good for my readership. Either later today or early tomorrow I will be back on a regular schedule of posting and try all I can to continue to provide you the information you have asked for.
Additionally coming in 2009, I am going to be offering up a lot of free reports that will add to your online business know how. Now this may sound fairly easy on the outset, but it isn’t. I have a lot of them that I will have to personally go through so that something that is worthless doesn’t slip through the cracks and end up on your hard drive. In other words it is on the time consuming side of things.
For those of you who are not on my list as of yet, feel free to sign up to receive these reports. But for today I may leave some of you a bit angry. This article I am posting today was written by Marlon Sanders and I believe for some it might just the the kind of kick in the butt you need to get you going. As long as I have been at this, I too, have certainly heard the litany of excuses come down pike and blaming programs and others for their failure online. Read the rest of this entry
