Tips On Marketing Your Info Product

If there is one bit of advice I can ever give you, whether it be about marketing or business success in general, it is a quote from Russell Crowe in Gladiator: “On my mark, unleash hell.” Yes, you might have heard one or two other marketers quoting this very same line. And with good reason. That one line epitomizes the very core of what all marketing programs teach you. Here’s a break down:

Find your target - Pick a market that is favorable for approach. It doesn’t have to be the perfect idea, just one that works on paper, and most importantly, something that you know you can do while maintaining interest.

Prepare your approach- Mark out the main spots – what sort of advertising mediums can you use? What is your budget? What is your exact strategy for each medium? No need to go into excruciating details, but you should know, for example, your allocated monthly budget for your PPC campaign, your target keywords and the expected cost-per-click for each keyword. This will at the very least help you monitor your advertising and tune it based on the  results.

Intense marketing- There are two different approaches in this regard. Use the first one if you can afford to spend a lot of money on traffic, use the second if most of your advertising budget will be paid for by your business even at the start.

- All-out marketing, pulling out all the stops at once, complete blanketing of your target market – Slow build-up, tackling different advertising mediums one by one, building to crescendo effect where at the end, you replicate the effect in the ‘all-out marketing’ technique.

Taken by itself, the term ‘unleash hell’ is also used to describe another valuable business lesson:

If you have a product, or a business idea, or a service to sell, GET IT OUT THERE! Take your business to the market first, worry about refining and
managing later.

Essentially, don’t wait months to find the perfect idea. Pick an idea that’s good enough, and launch your business. If you are a resume writer and want to sell your services online, throw up a website, put up your basic contact and payment information and BEGIN PROMOTION.

Too often people wait too long until they have the ‘finished’ product before starting their marketing campaigns. A newcomer shouldn’t waste their time like that. The product will be developed along the way through customer interaction anyway. On the other hand, there is no way you’ll make any money without traffic.  So go get that traffic, and ‘perfection’ will come in due time.

Today’s resources – One of my favorite tools is a point and click dashboard that walks you thru each and every step for promotion and it is done Marlon Sanders. The Promo Dashboard is a fun tool to use and you simply follow his point and click formula to drive tons of traffic to your site.

If you are looking for a simple guide to over 70 promotion methods than I don’t hesitate to bring up Ross Goldberg’s ebook The Traffic Manifesto.

If you have yet to start writing your own info product then this is without a doubt one of the easiest ways to get started. Jimmy D Browns Short Reports Fortunes. I wished I had this when I was starting out in the info product business. It’s fast and super easy to understand and you have can have an info product ready to go in just a couple days.

Today, I expose a suicidal tendency that many marketers exhibit; why that tendency skyrockets during a recession; and an outright cure for it.

The suicidal tendency is: Doing the same thing everyone else is doing in your market, believing that persistence and determination alone will cause you to prevail – and bleeding red ink until you have no choice but to stop.

This runs RAMPANT in an economic downturn, when people are so open to business opportunities and “turn key” marketing systems and plans, and so sick and tired of the constant media vomit, that they eagerly jump in. Their desire to believe and hope is so great, they don’t realize they’re missing the most essential ingredient in all of marketing:

*A USP, a Unique Selling Proposition.*

If someone hands you a turn-key business, one where “anybody can do it!”, the very fact that “anybody can do it” means you lack a USP.

For most businesses, the failure rate is 90%. For “anybody can do it” businesses, the failure rate is 99.9%.

Ah, the irony.

The lack of a USP for the individual business owner is why.

Here’s the cure to that:

-Adding a unique twist… something special of your own that nobody else adds. You didn’t have a USP, now you do.

-You niche that uniqueness to a very specific “nano-niche”.

If you’re selling soap, you recognize that being the king of “soap” on the Internet is a nearly impossible task. At least in the short term.

So you appoint yourself the king of “Lemon Scented Hand Soap” instead.

Nobody else has really claimed that hill as their own. It’s poorly guarded. You can storm the barricades and win.

And you build out your empire from there.

Now in Google AdWords, the trick is finding those “nano-niche” keywords. Those cracks in the sidewalk where you can buy traffic at an affordable price, where nobody is projecting a powerful USP.

The best tool I know of for locating those keywords and niches is AdWord Accelerator. It’s is truly the “nano-niche” tool of the 21st century. Especially if you’re in highly competitive markets (as an affiliate, for example), it’s essential.

I invite you to watch the videos at http://www.AdwordsAcceleration.com and see for yourself. Use Stephen Juth’s x-ray tool to find a nano-niche you can dominate, build a USP and a unique business within that niche, and you’ll have an edge few others have.

How To Print Money In Your Sleep

The phrase “make money while you sleep” has been twisted and abused by many a late night TV spot and biz-op sales letter. But it doesn’t matter, cuz there are a still lot of people in the world who really do make money while they sleep. The best way I know of to print money is to have a responsive, well-fed email list. If you have that, then when you need a cash flow surge, you can create one.

Have you ever thought to yourself….

“I know I should cultivate my e-mail list. It’d be really nice to take in a few extra thousand bucks this month so I could afford to buy that new backyard play set for Suzie. It might also be nice to pay off that line of credit. But I’m so busy and I don’t know where to start. I wish writing e-mails and autoresponders wasn’t so intimidating….”

We’ve all had these thoughts. And we’ve all wished that we could easily print a few extra bucks when needed. Last May I put on my first ever E-mail and Autoresponder seminar. This was a no holds barred, down and dirty, $4,000.00 per seat, super meaty seminar where I revealed all of my best kept email and autoresponder secrets andstrategies.

I even assigned a professional copywriter toevery attendee! The enthusiasm for this information was palpable. Andthere was not a single person who told me they’d heard that stuff before.

I realize that a lot of people couldn’t come that wanted to. Some for cost reasons, others because of time constraints. So today I’m offering you a “Reader’s Digest” version of that landmark seminar, in the form of a 10 page special report. This report is a collection of the core concepts and simple principles that de-mystify and super-charge your e-mail and autoresponder marketing (and your sales!) in 2009.

**In it you’ll get my autoresponder strategy broken down into simple, actionable steps.

**I’ll tell you about the one GIANT mistake most marketers make with their lists and how to avoid it.

**You’ll get three methods you can use today to increase the persuasiveness of your copy.

**You’ll discover what to focus on and how to invest your time… to ratchet up your sales and multiply your rofits. (There’s one trick that will save you time and make you lots more money. But it’s probably not what you think… it involves getting RID of lots of people!)

**Plus a myriad of other cool insights and tweaks that get you closer to your sales goals each month.

If you want to work smarter and not harder in 2009, and make headway while others fall behind, this is your ticket.

Dr. Glenn Livingston, who spoke at the seminar, said to me, “Crap, when I go home I’m going to have to change a bunch of things in my marketing funnels, this stuff is just incredible.” He hadn’t seen it before either.

How’s that for an endorsement?

Oh, by the way, this baby won’t set you back $4,000. This is *nowhere near* that expensive. But even if it did, it just might be worth it.

(Why?) Because your list is like a huge printing press that turns out dollar bills. The ink is on the rollers and all it needs is the right paper.

Well, my friend… here’s the paper.Let’s start printing. Click here to find out how… http://www.perrymarshall.com/invisible-streams/

Why I love Affiliate Marketing

There are a lot of reasons why I love affiliate marketing. Let me quickly share five of them with you… Do you find yourself “starting” to create your own product to sell online, but never “finishing” it? One of the things I love about affiliate marketing is -** You don’t need to create your own products **

Many people find the idea of creating their own products to be an overwhelming and even paralyzing task.

* I don’t have any good ideas!
* I’m not a writer!
* There’s too much competition!
* I don’t know how to set everything up!
* I can’t figure out where to start!
* It’s too hard!

These are just a few of the valid reasons many people give when it comes to not creating their own products to sell. I’m sure with a few minutes of brainstorming, we could come up with a list of many more.

With affiliate marketing, you don’t need your own products. You simply promote someone else’s already proven successful offer for a commission.

And, truth be told, even if you ARE a writer and you DO have lots of ideas and you CAN figure it all out…

** Nobody wants to create new products all the time **

As good as you may be, you don’t know everything! Why try to create a product on every topic imaginable in your market when you can earn just as much money by simply promoting someone else’s really good offer as one of your profit streams? That’s why I love affiliate marketing. You don’t need to create your own products.

But, there’s more…

Pop quiz time. What does “HTML” stand for? Don’t know that one? How about this – what does “FTP” stand for? OK, one more chance. Do you know how to work with either?

That brings me to the second reason why I love affiliate marketing…

** You don’t need to build a website **

What scares people more than creating a product is building a website!

* What in the world is HTML? Or FTP?
* How much does the software cost? And hosting?
* How do I upload files?
* Why isn’t it formatted correctly?
* Why don’t my graphics look like the ones the pros have?

If you are a complete beginner, it can be very difficult (even using templates) to get an attractive website in place. And hiring a professional to do it for you is out of the budget for most people.
