Many people immediately think of ebooks when they hear the words “information product”, but there’s so much more you can do with your information products that will make your products more useful to your customers AND will help you make more money.

Why Your Customer Benefits from Different Information Formats:

People learn and like to consume information in different ways. Many people do like to read and printed reports or ebooks will do the trick for them. Others like to listen to information. They may want to download audios to their mp3 players, burn them to CDs so they can listen in the car or listen on their computer while they attend to other tasks. Some people may prefer to watch and you may even want to include video in your information products.

Why YOU Benefit from Different Information Formats:

When you offer different formats, you can increase the perceived value of your products. A product that is just a downloadable PDF may not be seen as valuable as a product that offers an ebook, audio recording and transcripts. This means, you can charge more for your information product…increasing your bottom line.

You can also reach more customers with your multi-media information product. Some people won’t buy ebooks because they’d prefer to listen. Others may have slow Internet connections and can’t easily download mp3s, so they would rather have typed information they can read. There are so many reasons why customers prefer different formats and it’s easy to provide those formats…so why not go the extra mile.

Keep in mind accessibility. People with visual impairments may find it easier to listen to your audio and those with hearing impairments wouldn’t be able to listen to your audio. Don’t limit their options.

And Don’t Just Limit Yourself to One Product:

It’s tough to make a great living off just one information product and if you make a great product, your customers are going to want more. So, when you’re creating your first information product, make a plan for additional ebooks. These can give more in-depth information on certain topics, could contain more advanced techniques or anything that your target customer would be interested in.

Alternatively, if you can’t develop your own line of products immediately, ensure that you have some backend sales lined up and recommend further products through affiliate links. Always make the most of your marketing efforts!

Today’s resources for creating your own info products. Info Product Dashboard by Marlon Sanders is as easy as point and click and Jimmy D. Browns-Small Report Fortunes is about starting out with 10 to 20 page reports. Both products have served me extremely well.

Subtitle: “Dude, you ain’t gotta do it all yourself!” This cheat sheet gives my best tips and resources for putting your business on auto pilot. MYTH: You can’t live the Internet lifestyle without a big office, lots of employees and so forth.

TRUTH: I’ve been doing it since 1997 and before. I have a small office now and don’t use 80% of the space I have. But for many years I worked 100% out of my home office.

1. Get something working

You can’t autopilot what doesn’t work. You can only autopilot working things.

2. If it isn’t working yet, then find people who have it working, ge their procedures and do them.

You CAN use virtual assistants to do this for you. Would you pay $2.22 per hour for someone who has an engineering degree (thus, they are obviously smart) and can type 70 words per minute?

Here is what she has to say about your job post for transcription help: “I’m very much interested in your job opening to transcribe 10 hours of video. I have excellent verbal and writing skills and I spell accurately with good grammar construction.

“I would be able to give you an estimate of how long I can  do an hour of the 10 videos once I hear it, even just the first part. Being honest with my employers and being able to deliver on my promised time is very important to me so I would not like to commit on a time frame unless I can really deliver it. I can format the report and edit it in a readable way and I can specify if it’s a man or woman speaking.

“I type 70wpm and I am familiar with all Ms applications and the internet. I am new … but I am hoping to make a good reputation here.”Thank you and hoping for your favorable response.”

Example: I have 200 autoresponders in Aweber. In 5 hours one of my virtual assistants went through all 200, entered them in a spreadsheet and recorded in depth details about how each one was set up, what confirmation subject line were using, automation rules and so forth.

This past week, I gave my Ateamers my 10-step procedure for how I got this person in written form. I don’t have time to cover it here since it’s a whole article by
itself.
Here’s the BEST part: There was no debate about why I wanted this done, should it be done, how was the best way to get it done, why did I want it done, how hard it was going to be to get it done, what an unreasonable person I was for wanting such a detailed task done, why my desire to have it done fast was wrong.

It just got DONE! And it got done overnight. Can you see the beauty in that?

3. Read the “4 Hour Work Week”

Just read it. Seriously. Buy a used copy off Amazon or at your used bookstore.

Why?

A message of encouragement if you feel uncertain, doubt if  what you’re doing will be successful or sometimes feel like you’re on the wrong track. By Marlon Sanders

Hello, Marlon Sanders here.

If you’re tired of having smoke blown at, through, under and up every part of your clothing and anatomy, then maybe this article will be refreshing to you. I’d like to talk to you about what I call…”The Night Of Uncertainty”When you go to learn Internet marketing, you experience a variety of times and days.

What I mean is, you have those moments where the sun is shining. Everything looks like it’s working.  Everything is all hunky dory, as we’d say in the state of Oklahama where I’m from. You wake up.The light seems brigher. There’s a bounce in your step.  It’s all good.

But life has its ups and downs and so does marketing.

There’s also this period you go through at times where what you thought was working isn’t.  Where you’re going through a learning curve.  You put in time and effort and do NOT get the payoff. Most people quit at that point. It’s the “night time” of marketing.  And night precedes day.

Before things work, they don’t work.

It’s all part of the learning curve.  And the hardest thing about it is during the night, you doubt yourself and what you’re doing. You doubt if it’ll ever work.  You doubt if your time, money and
effort are well invested or not.

It’s one of the reasons I teach and preach to spend a big chunk of your time, money and energy learning marketing methods that will benefit you in ALL of life, and not just in an Internet
business.

It’s hard to make it through the nights of business.  Everything seems black.  What you thought was working isn’t.  You’ve expended all this effort and the payoff didn’t come. The doubt. The indecision.  The hurt.  The pain.

The only thing you have to go on is your hope and your belief. Sure, there are the successes of others. But there’s always a reason those don’t apply to you.

So in the nights of business, you’re often there alone.

Anthony Robbins said with great eloquence that life is an interaction between pain and pleasure.  People will do more to avoid pain than to gain pleasure.

So the trick is to make it through the nights of business, so your days can out number your nights.

3 No Cost tools For Selling More Ebooks

It’s all under your control. If you sell information products and want to make more money with them, there’s good news. It’s all under your control. That’s right, you can make more money with your information products simply by doing something that you have the power to do.

It’s not dependent upon anyone else. It’s up to you.

Let me explain …While there are a lot of different aspects of selling information products, there are really only two ways to make more money with them …

Sell More
Refund Less

Really, it’s pretty much that simple.

In order to make more money with information products you need to either SELL MORE or REFUND LESS.

Or, better still, do BOTH. Now, in the many years I’ve been selling information products, I’ve found there are three powerful tools that will help you do just that.

You can use these three tools to SELL MORE by using them on your classified ads, solo mailings, sales letters, autoresponder messages and virtually any sales tool.

Hello, Marlon here. I’ve been in this business of marketing online since before the world wide web existed. How? Because I was marketing on AOL and Compuserve. I’ve been full-time so many years I don’t remember NOT doing this for a living. So you might say I know a few things about how to build a business that will be here tomorrow and next month and next year and five years from now.

Let’s talk about how you can build one step at a time from  scratch.

1. Learn to acquire new customers

This is the heart and soul of your business. It’s your engine. If you learn to do this, you have a business that runs. If you don’t, you fail. Getting new customers requires several things:

a. Figuring how WHERE to find ‘em. If you can’t target them, you can’t get ‘em on your list.

b. Figuring out WHAT they’ll respond to If you’ve “tried” squeeze pages but they didn’t work for you, it’s because you never figured out what they’ll respond to.

c. Making irresistible offers. This involves figuring out their hot buttons and pushing them hard!

So the other day I visited the blog of a customer just out of curiosity. This person is still in the process of “getting it.” She’s getting closer but isn’t there yet. I looked at her blog and honest-to-goodness, I had NO IDEA of who she was targeting with her blog. You don’t write a blog or any communication just to blab. You target.
