Still having a time of it when it comes to writing effective salescopy? Trust me, I get it. It isn’t easy for everyone, while some have a knack for it others fight their way thru the entire process. Take look at what your doing so far. Ask yourself a few questions and if the answers to your questions aren’t to your liking, then it is time to make some changes and here’s where your gonna start. Have you done the very best you can at conveying the greatest benefit of the product that you are promoting in your headline? Is it doing its job? is it a real attention grabber?
Next, ask yourself if you know enough about your target audience. What I mean, do you know what their triggers are that make them buy? If your answer is no, then its time for you to spend some time, and I only mean an hour or so, in their online forums and see what they talking about. Your answers could very well be right there.
Forums are going to give you a wealth of information on your target audience, and can easily deliver information you simply didn’t think about. Next, if it isn’t your own product that you are selling, do you know as much as you need to know about the product to create a compelling sales message via the benefits of the product. The target audience is only really going to care about one thing and thats what is in for them. Have you covered this adequately. Benefits are what sells, not features.
Have you uncovered that one single pain and or irritation that your target audience is suffering from and is looking for an answer to solve? is your message covering it the way that it should be? This is copy writing 101. You must uncover that common thread between them that is bothersome and give them their answer. If you have a personal experience with that specific product how did you most benefit from it.
Have you told the best story that you could in your sales message? Do you have the best guarantees in place and the best bonuses you could put together. Have you offered an informative short report to gain credibility with your target market?
When All these elements come together the way they should you will be amazed at the increase in CTR and the response you will receive to your bottom line. Typically this is where I fond that most people fail in the sales message. Take the time to fine tune things or enjoy the fruits of your labors.
