In a virtual marketplace, search engine plays an imperative role in bringing success to online business since most of the searches for products and services are done through search engines. Therefore, we can easily make out how important it is to get a secure position in a search engine result listing page if one has to excel in online business.

Just making an appealing and content saturated website using soothing colors never seems profitable. Your site must undergo search engine optimization (SEO) process with the help of search engine optimizers to make it compatible enough to appear in an influential position in a search engine result page (SERP).

However, SEO is not a process of eating a ripe fruit but it involves process of showing a seed, watering the germinated plant constantly, letting it flower that converts to a fruit and ultimately eating a ripe fruit. Hence for any SEO strategies to show some result, it may take time varying from 2 or 3 months to a year or more. But, the people who are impatient to go ahead with SEO process and want instant online visibility and Web traffic to their website, they can opt for services like pay per click.

Pay per click gives a guaranteed listing of your website in SERP and it is a process of advertising your website in such a way where you are charged nothing for advertising but will be charged for each click made by the visitors. You are allowed to select the keywords and bid on it. Higher the bidding rate, greater will be the chances of appearing your website at the top of sponsor listing of SERP.

Too often bloggers complain that after a great start, a year later their blog is as dead as can be. This is a common problem that almost always revolves around a small list of common mistakes made by the blogger. A blogger can sit back and expect the blog to do all of the work for him or her, which is a terrible way to approach blogging. A successful blogger would tell you that great blogging takes a certain amount of dedication and hard effort to make it work. You have to put effort into a blog to sustain it, especially after the first month or so of completing the design. Many people work so hard during the initial design phase that they get lazy after it is complete. To avoid this happening to your blog, check out these five common mistakes that can bury a blog.

Infrequent Updates- “I have been falling down a bit in this arena”

One of the biggest mistakes a blogger can make is to “forget” about posting. The most successful blogs are updated with new posts frequently.  Some larger blogs are constantly being updated. You should try to create new posts as often as possible. This blog for instance I used to post just about every day and with over 300 post it does pretty well.  There is more than enough information to keep the readership busy. However, for some it may be just too much to post daily, but if you can at least get a post out every other day it is good practice, especially when just starting a new blog.

Too Much Advertising

Most bloggers today do want to make a profit from their blog. This is a trend that can get out of control quickly however. If you are interested in adding ads to your blog, do so with caution. There is nothing wrong with a few appropriately places ads that offer viewers links to places that correlate with your blog’s content. However, adding a massive amount of advertisements on your blog is a mistake. If you have a bunch of flashy ads on your blog, your content will get lost within the hoopla. Therefore, you should always limit your ads to three or less per page. Make sure you place them in appropriate places that let your content shine through. Don’t allow enormous ads to fill up your pages either. They will simply annoy readers. Be smart about including advertising on your blog!

When finding a market for your info product, remember that there are 2 parts to the equation: Without meeting these 2 criteria it is not going to be easy to find success.

1. You’ll need an information hungry market AND

2. You’ll need that market to be willing to open their wallets.

You want to make sure that the market that you select has the money to spend on the information that you provide. You would not want to focus your efforts oncreating a product that would be useful to homeless people unless you intended on making it a charitable contribution. That market would simply not have any money to spend on your info product.

Similarly, you wouldn’t want to focus your efforts on creating a product for a market that usually gets their information from free sources. For example, creating an info product for a group that regularly looks for answers in thrift shops probably would not be a good idea. You’ll have to put that much extra effort into selling to them. Why not create a product that is targeted to a specific market that has money and actually spends money in the first place?

So, once you’ve done some brainstorming and you’ve written down all of your ideas, you need to start focusing further on what might be saleable. You won’t always have much knowledge on a subject that might be profitable. In that case, you will have to create a product on something that you know little about.

Tips For Creating Successful Landing Pages

If you have heard it once you have heard it a thousand times-”The Money Is In The List” Having a high converting landing page is one of those elements to any web business that is essential.

Also known as the “name squeeze page” or “lead capture page”, you can build your mailing list by funneling all of your would-be subscribers through the creation of a landing page. Not only do you do the work just once, your traffic driving efforts can be focused onto just one effective method.

The following are tips in creating a successful landing page that converts visitors into subscribers on a very huge percentage.

Success Tip 1: Offer a freebie in exchange for your visitor’s email address. I very much endorse this method of building your mailing list. You can offer a special report or a sample of your paid product to your visitor in exchange for their details such as name and email address.

Success Tip 2: The landing page must be written professionally. When writing your page, treat it as if you are writing a sales letter. While you are not necessarily making a hard sale or try to get someone to buy your product upfront, being able to entice your visitors to give their details to you is just as important as selling.

Success Tip 3: Other than your opt-in form and perhaps important disclaimers and terms, there shouldn’t be any other links on your landing page.

Success Tip 4: Rub in the benefits of the freebie you are offering more than a mere subscription to your newsletter. You should focus most of the attention of the letter on encouraging your prospective visitor to download your free offer. Later, you gently remind your prospect that he or she has nothing to pay but just merely subscribe to your newsletter in exchange for the freebie.

As a final reminder and conclusion, in order to build trust, you can include your hand-written signature or a photo of yourself explaining where you are coming from and how you can help your visitor through your free report on offer.
